The Gene Pulser Xcell system is a modular electroporation system that enables gene introduction into a variety of cell types. The system includes a main unit, a ShockPod cuvette chamber, and selected accessory modules (Capacitance Extender: CE module and Pulse Controller: PC module). It features a large display with a backlight, making it easy to select protocols and verify waveforms after introduction. There are also preset programs available for mammalian and microbial cells, and established gene introduction protocols for many cell lines, allowing for minimal preliminary condition testing.
